Kick off is set for 4:25 PM ET with QB Drew Brees getting the start for the Saints with Matt Ryan opposing him.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints probably won’t make the playoffs, and a number of key factors come into play because of the team’s poor season, but QB isn’t one of them.
Drew Brees has played well the last two games, both Saints wins, and will look to spoil the Falcons final game of the season. Against the Bucs last week he threw for just 1 touchdown pass but didn’t turn the ball over.
It was his second straight game without a turnover. The Falcons defense is overrated and their secondary is banged up, so expect 3 touchdowns from Brees Sunday.
Mark Ingram scored two touchdowns and ran for 90 yards against the Bucs. This was easily one of his best games of the season and I expect him to get 20 carries against a Falcons defense that gave up 4.5 yards per carries to Jonathan Stewart last week.
Brandin Cooks continued his strong play against Tampa Bay, as he caught 9 passes for 98 yards. He is becoming one of the best receivers in the NFC and I expect him to torch the Falcons secondary for over 100 yards and 2 scores.

Although Willie Snead has been inconsistent down the stretch he is still a very capable #2 receiver he can also attack the Falcons secondary deep. He won’t put up gaudy numbers but will make big plays in the second half.
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons clinched the division after beating the Panthers last week, and have the offensive firepower to be a contender to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Matt Ryan is a legitimate MVP candidate and has had the best season of his career. He carved up the Panthers secondary and finished the game 27-33 for 277 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Saints can’t stop anyone on defense so look for Ryan and Julio Jones to light them up and connect for 2 touchdowns.
Devonta Freeman had a good all around game against Carolina, rushing for 53 yards and catching a few passes for 35 yards. He should be a big threat receiving the ball in this game. I expect Freeman to run for 75 yards and have 50 receiving yards out of the backfield with a score.

Julio Jones has put up great numbers this season and earned another Pro Bowl nod. He returned from a toe injury and caught 4 passes for 60 yards.
Jones should play more time in this game as Atlanta fights for an outside shot at a first round bye. I don’t see any reason for Jones to not dominate the New Orleans secondary and get over 100 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns from Ryan.
