The Bengals will open up their anticipated 2020 season against the Los Angeles Chargers at home. Rookie Joe Burrow will make his first start in the post-Andy Dalton era in Cincinnati as they hoped they secured the QB of the future for them. On the other side, the Chargers will have someone else starting a game other than Philip Rivers for the first time in 224 games.
Los Angeles Chargers
Andy Lynn will embark on a journey to find a new QB for his team after letting Philip Rivers walk in the offseason. Tyrod Taylor is going to start week one as of right now for Los Angeles, but they have stud rookie Justin Herbert in the waiting as he was their first-round draft pick in 2020.
Tyrod Taylor has not started a game since the 2018 season when he went 1-1-1 with the Cleveland Browns before Baker Mayfield took over on a Thursday night football game and never looked back. In his last full season as a starter, Tyrod went 8-6 as the starter of the Buffalo Bills bringing Buffalo to their first playoff birth in over 15 years.

Chargers suffered a huge blow in training camp losing 1st team all-pro player, Derwin James, to a meniscus tear in his knee. He was poised for a big year coming off an ACL injury in 2019. Newly acquired Chris Harris Jr. is going to have to pick up some slack with the blow to James as he now is the most experienced player in the secondary.
The pass-rush for Los Angeles may be the best duo in the league. The dual-threat in Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa will be looking to level Joe Burrow in his first official NFL start and make him uncomfortable.
Cincinnati Bengals
Zach Taylor will try to bounce back from the worst record in the NFL last season. Thankfully for Zach, he has the hottest new toy on the block with Joey Burrow at the helm of his offense coming off a National Championship at LSU. Hopefully, Joey B. is the answer for the Bengals fans as they have had years of misery with Andy Dalton at QB.
Burrow is coming off maybe the best season a quarterback has had in college football history. In his senior year at LSU, he posted 5761 yards to go with a 60:6 TD to INT ratio.
A.J. Green missed the entire 2019 season with an ankle injury. The team is hopeful he’ll return and reclaim his status as one of the league’s best receivers. John Ross has also been in and out of the lineup with injuries and Taylor hopes he will stay healthy in 2020.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Cincinnati +3
Chargers have too many question marks for their team. I think Joe Burrow is capable with this receiving core to put up some numbers in his first game and put the league on notice. Give me the Bengals to pull this one out late as I’m riding the Joey Burrow hype.
