Buffalo is looking to lock down their first AFC East title in some time. They need this win.
The Chargers season is basically over but with the development of their rookie QB they are in every game.
Two gunslingers in this one so as long as the weather doesn’t get bad we should be in for a treat.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers may only have three wins on the season but they are never boring. They did need more effort than expected to beat the Jets last week as a recent example.
Joe Burrow got hurt last week but if you look at the numbers closely you will see that Justin Herbert has been besting him all season. He just didn’t start in week one.
Herbert is leading the third best passing attack in football. His rating is 104 and that is even with all the chances he takes. Just six picks show that he knows how to protect the ball too.
The running game has been nothing special and Herbert actually leads the team in rushing TDs. That is a spot to address in the draft for sure.
Dittor for the defense, which was supposed to be a strength. That group needs to get some more playmakers to fully unlock Joey Bosa, Missing Derwin James from the jump was a killer.
Buffalo Bills
Buffalo is off their bye which seems to be well times after their hail mary loss against Arizona. They are just one game ahead of Miami so they have to keep pushing.
Josh Allen has been awesome but his rating is actually a smidge below Herbert’s. Nevertheless I love the way he is commanding the offense right now.
I do wish the Bills would give the running game a bit better chance to get going though. I know the line isn’t great but Devin Singletary and powerful rookie Zack Moss can be a good duo.
The defense is still really banged up. Those guys are going to be under a lot of pressure to slow down this Chargers attack. I am not sure they are up to the task.
That means the margin for error for Allen and offense is that much finer. They just need a win though.
