The Chiefs will be on the road this week to take on the Buffalo Bills at home in a very early Monday night game. Kansas City is coming off their first loss of the season against the Raiders and the Bills are coming off their first loss as well as they took the L against the Titans on Tuesday night. The last time the Chiefs and Bills met it was back in 2017 and the Bills won 16-10.
Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City will look to bounce back after suffering their first loss of the season to the Raiders 40-32. This going to be a huge game for both teams as it will probably affect the way the playoff seeding shakes out.
The Patriots may have put out the blueprint on how to slow down Patrick Mahomes after their game in week four. They forced Mahomes into terrible throws all game and flushed him out of the pocket constantly. He completed only 22 of 43 passes for 340 yards to go along with two touchdowns and an interception. The Bills have the 29th ranked pass defense so he has a good chance to have a get right game.

The offense played as well as usual for the Chiefs, but it was the defense that let them down this past week. It was the first time this season that Kansas City let an opposing team score more than 20 points this season. As a team, the Chiefs give up an average of 22 points per game. Linebacker Anthony Hitchens leads the team in tackles with 38 on the season and also leads the team in solo tackles with 21.
Buffalo Bills
Buffalo will be coming into this game on short rest after taking on the Titans on Tuesday night. The Bills took their first loss of the season in the contest against Tennessee and will try to rebound on Monday.
Josh Allen had his worst performance of the season on Tuesday as the Titan’s defense had his number. It was his first game of the season where he didn’t have two or more passing TD’s and had more than one interception. Allen threw two interceptions in the loss, that led to two Titan touchdowns.
Even though he struggled on Tuesday, Josh had been very good on the season. Allen through four games has thrown for 1246 yards, 12 touchdowns, and just four interceptions. Stefon Diggs leads the team in receiving with 403 yards on the year and has two touchdowns to his credit.
The Bills have been very good on offense in 2020 and pretty bad on defense, the exact opposite of what it was like for them in 2019. Buffalo has the 11th highest-scoring offense in the league as they average 27.8 points per game. The most shocking part of the Bills’ season has been a pass defense that is one of the worst in the league after finishing 4th in that department a year ago.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Kansas City -3
Kansas City is the right play here as the public has been way too high on the Bills. Buffalo’s defense has been terrible this year due to a bunch of injuries and nobody is talking about that because of how good their offense has been. The Bills were missing several defensive starters against the Titans and are going to need some people to step up. Expect a shoot out on Monday night with Buffalo’s 28th ranked passing defense and Kansas City’s weak rushing defense. Give me Kansas City to win this Big-12 battle though and cover the spread.
