Packers will look to start their season 2-0 after taking on the Lions on Sunday at home in Week 2 of the NFL Season. Green Bay took down the Vikings the last time out and while the Lions lost to the Bears at home.
Detroit Lions
Lions held a 17 point lead entering the fourth quarter before Mitchell Trubisky saved his season by throwing for three touchdowns lifting Chicago to the last-minute victory.
Matt Stafford was okay in his first game since his back injury in week 8 of the 2019 season. Stafford completed 24 of 42 passes for 297 yards to go with a touchdown and an interception. Lions held a 17-6 lead before the Bears outscored them 20-6 in the second half of the game.
Deandre Swift dropped the game-winning touchdown in the endzone for the Lions in the last 10 seconds ultimately closing the game for the Bears as their defense held strong. Detroit was without star wideout Kenny Golladay in this one though so his return should bring some offensive power to the table.

Lions locked down defensively in the first three quarters, but the game took a toll on them as they looked tired in the fourth quarter. First-round pick Jeffery Okudah was not out there for the Lions as he suffered a minor injury in training camp. He should make a big impact on the team’s defense as he was a star in college and is replacing two-time all-pro corner Darius Slay.
Green Bay Packers
Packers blew out the Vikings in their season opener on Sunday defeating them 43-34. It was the most points in a Packers opener in franchise history.
Aaron Rodgers is looking like he’s back to MVP form after a perfect game one. Rodgers threw for four touchdowns, 364 yards on 32 of 44 pass attempts and posted a perfect passer rating on the day.
Davante Adams is the second-leading receiver in yards in all of the NFL with 156 yards through the air. Adams is also tied for the league lead in touchdowns for a receiver with two on the day for the Pack.
On the defensive side of the ball, Green Bay didn’t perform very well. They lost their leading tackler from last season due to free agency in Blake Martinez and are replacing him with a rookie, so that might cause some issues throughout the season. Jaire Alexander was the MVP of the defense though on Sunday grabbing an interception that led to a last-minute touchdown for the packers in the first half. He already has half the INT’s he had last year in just one game.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction:
I think that the Packers win this game, but Detroit is able to keep it close. Kenny Golladay was missing for the Lions in their first game and he’s likely to return to face a weak Packers secondary led by a 23-year-old Jaire Alexander. Lions had a 17 point lead on the Bears before they blew the game thanks to their defense and an interception. Give me the Lions to cover the spread or potentially beat Green Bay as it took the Pack a last-minute field goal to beat Stafford the last time they squared off.
