Tuesday Night football has become more of the normal this season and that is what we will get here as the Ravens will try to snap their losing streak. They played their most recent game without Lamar Jackson, which clearly showed they have no good options as a backup quarterback.
Dallas keeps losing games, yet are still within range to win the NFC East. If the Cowboys pull off a win here, they will for have a chance to win that terrible division.
Dallas Cowboys
Dallas most recently were embarrassed on Thanksgiving afternoon, losing to Washington, 41-16. Dallas has been atrocious since losing Dak Prescott to injury and it only makes sense, considering Andy Dalton has not been the answer. Against Washington, he threw for 215 yards, but only had one touchdown. He also threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown.
On the year, the Cowboys are the eighth-best team in the league in passing with 268 yards per contest. Dallas is 17th in rushing offense with 111.8 yards per game this season. The Cowboys are the 23rd best scoring offense as they average 22.8 points a night.
Defensively, is where the Cowboys struggle the most, which was magnified in the game against Washington. They allowed 338 total yards in the game. Alex Smith only threw for 149 yards, one touchdown and one interception, but their rushing defense allowed 182 yards. They allowed 5.1 yards per carry, which is going to be an issue against this Ravens’ team.
The Cowboys rank 23rd in total defense per game, 12th in passing defense, 32nd (last) in rushing defense and 32 (also last) in scoring defense. They allowing 32.6 points per game, so basically their defense is worse than the win-less New York Jets.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens never really had a chance against Pittsburgh, considering Lamar Jackson was held out. The Ravens are in trouble of missing the playoffs at this point, so this game basically is a must win.
Baltimore’s offense looked awful this past week, racking up just 219 yards against the Steelers. Their quarterbacks combined for 110 yards passing, had one touchdown, two interceptions and one fumble. Hopefully they will be getting Lamar Jackson back otherwise they are going to be in trouble.
The Ravens are the 23rd ranked offense in the NFL, averaging 332.5 yards per game. They are the worst passing offense in the NFL, but are the 3rd best rushing offense. They also score 25.6 points per game, which ranks 15th.
Their defense played pretty well against Pittsburgh given the situation. They allowed just 334 total yards and just 68 yards on the ground. Baltimore is the 8th ranked defense in terms of total yards. They are 9th in passing yards, 12th in rushing yards and 3rd in scoring defense. Against a depleted Cowboys’ offense, the Ravens should have no issues.
NFL Betting Trends:
- Dallas are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games.
- Dallas are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games against Baltimore.
- The total has gone UNDER in 8 of Baltimore’s last 12 games.
- The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Dallas’ last 6 games.
4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Under 45
Any bet on this game will depend on whether Baltimore will have a real quarterback. Regardless, their defense should be able to limit Dallas, so I will back the under.
