The New York Jets finally won a game last week. A second win in a row seems unlikely, but so did the first.
Cleveland took down the other New York team on Sunday Night Football last week.
The Brows are a sneaky good team and another win at Met Life seems the most likely outcome.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns are not a great team but when they are going good they are awfully tough to beat. They just have to hope that their playoff matchup is favourable.
After losing to Baltimore on Monday night the Browns bounced back very nicely to win at the Giants last week. It was not a pretty game but their backers got out with the cover.
Last week the Giants were able to slow the running game of the Browns. That is hard to do and I am not expecting the Jets to have to same degree of success.
Last week Baker Mayfield was relied upon more and he didn’t disappoint. I love his fire but this team is at its best when he is a complimentary player, not the instigator.
At times the defense has been a big disappointment but I am not expecting that here.
New York Jets
I know it could hurt their chances at the top overall pick in the next draft but we have to at least acknowledge that the Jets won a game last week.
It was against a real opponent too in the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams had everything to play for and still fell to the Jets.
Last week it was not about stats, it was just about getting the job done. In typical Jets fashion, they did have a lead but then held on for dear life to get the win.
Sam Darnold was not great, just mistake free. I still think that they need to move on from him but if he has another game like that they should be respectable.
The defense might have played its best game of the season against the Rams. Most importantly they did not get hammered on the ground. Tat is what they are going to need to do again in this spot.
