Week 11 will see Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals travel to FedEx Field to take on the Washington Football Team. This is expected to be a close battle between two struggling teams trying to turn things around. Cincinnati is coming off a blowout loss to the Steelers, while Washington suffered a heartbreaking walk-off loss in Detroit.
Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati was simply overpowered by Pittsburgh on both sides of the ball on Sunday. The defense was unable to contain the Steeler’s receiving corp as Ben Roethlisberger threw four touchdown passes to three different receivers. The Bengals were unable to force any turnovers, while losing two fumbles themselves. Joe Burrow was sacked four times and under pressure all afternoon. They face a less daunting matchup on Sunday against Washington. Cincinnati’s only touchdown came on a two-yard connection from Burrow to Tee Higgins.
Burrow has continued to be one of the only bright spots from Cincinnati’s woeful offense. While he has not necessarily put up stellar numbers, but he has made the plays available to him and kept his team in a lot of close games. The success he’s had has come despite enduring a lot of pressure and taking a lot of shots from opposing defenses.
Burrow has developed chemistry with Tyler Boyd and fellow rookie Tee Higgins. Boyd has caught three touchdown passes and Higgins has caught four. Burrow has not connected much with star receiver AJ Green, who has yet to catch a touchdown pass this year.

While the Bengals defense has had some struggles, they are capable of forcing turnovers. They have recorder at least one interception in all but two games.
Washington Football Team
On Sunday Alex Smith made his first start since suffering a horrific leg injury two years ago that jeopardized both his career and his life. It is a comeback story that transcends sports, and was made even more profound by Smith’s performance agains Detroit. He threw for a career high 390 yards, which also marked the first time he’s thrown for 300+ yards in consecutive games.
Washington almost pulled off a miraculous comeback of their own after charging back from a 24-3 deficit to tie the game late in the fourth quarter. Jubilation quickly turned to heartbreak after Detroit kicked a game-winning 59 yard field goal as time expired.
Smith appears to be exactly what Washington needs after benching quarterback Dwayne Haskins for Kyle Allen, who suffered a gruesome injury of his own in week 9. He has provided a spark for an dismal offense that ranks 29th in scoring offense.
Washington’s defense has played better than the offense. Led by rookie phenom pass rusher Chase Young, the Football Team has established a dangerous pass rush and tough pass defense. They are allowing 24.2 points per game and a league best 194.7 pass yards per game.
NFL Betting Trends:

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Under 47
Both of these offenses have struggled throughout the season. They rank 22nd and 29th in respectively in points per game. Although Washington’s offense started to click in the second half last week, they only managed to score 3 points in the first half against a poor Detroit defense. Washington ranks 27th in yards per play (5.0) and may struggle to finish drives when they are able to move the ball. Washington has turned the ball over 16 times, and ranks 25th in 3rd down conversion percentage (39.17%.)
Cincinnati’s offense may also struggle to get in the endzone against Washington’s defense. The Bengals rank 29th in 3rd down conversion percentage and 26th in red zone scoring percentage. Conversely, Washington ranks 7th in opponent red zone scoring percentage. The biggest factor that could limit Cincinnati’s scoring is their inability to protect Burrow against this pass rush. Washington ranks 5th recording 3.1 sacks per game, while the Bengals rank 31st in allowing 3.6 sacks per game. I will back the total to finish under 47.
