Baker looked pretty solid in his debut for the Panthers against his old team but they still fell short and he was up to his old tricks.
I have never been a fan of his both as a player or person and I very frequently fade him betting. This game coming up against the Giants is a tricky one for me though and I am kind of looking forward to watching this one.
Brian Daboll looks like he is in command of his locker room early as the Giants went into Tennessee and stole one off of the Titans, a game nobody expected them to win and took lives off millions of people in survivors.
The Panthers defence is pretty decent at stopping at the run so I doubt Saquon will replicate his week 1 performance but he might be all the way back after some mediocre seasons and being held back by injury.
So let’s dig into this one shall we?
Carolina Panthers
Christian McCaffrey came out Sunday and pounded the ball, looking like the prime CMC we all know and love. He is so elusive and has great hands in the passing game, this dude alone will win the Panthers some ball games off the backs of his performances.
Baker is Baker. He’s got the athletic ability but he’s such a cocky human being and it shows in his game on the field.
He thinks he can make any throw out there with bad footwork and poor management of his offensive line and LOS. Quite often he makes his own job harder than it has to be by moving into tackles unnecessarily or climbing up the pocket into pressure to make throws.
It is what it is at this point. Having said though just like Wentz, his highs can be quite impressive and against a weaker unit than the Browns I expect them to put some points on the board.
New York Giants
I am excited for the Giants this year and I’m pumped they beat the Titans. Screw the Titans.
Daboll was the QB guru who fixed the issues Josh Allen was having early in his career. Can he have the same effect on Danny Dimes?
Time will tell, I want to believe the answer is yes.
