When Cam Newton went down with injury Kyle Allen did a good job of filling in for him right away, but that hasn’t been the case anymore.
The stats still look fine and in the last game he threw for 278 yards and two touchdowns, but when the team needs a big play he isn’t able to get the job done.
On the defensive side the Panthers have a lot of issues, and that could spell a lot of trouble in this game. On the season they are giving up 26.7 points per game. They are facing a good offensive team, and the defense is going to need to step up in a big way.
The Panthers best player on offense is Christian McCaffrey who is the best player on the team, but he hasn’t rushed over 70 yards in any of his last three games.
Atlanta Falcons
On the other side of this matchup is the Atlanta Falcons who have also had a disapointing season and their biggest issue has been their inconsistency.

Early in November the Falcons defense stepped up giving up less than seven points in back to back games and that led to two straight losses.
Over the last two games that defense has gotten back to their terrible ways giving up at least 26 points in each of their last two games and it has led to a couple of losses.
They are facing an offense that hasn’t been great, so if the defense struggles in this game, it’s going to spell some big trouble.
