The Buffalo Bills will be on the road to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round on Sunday, January 23rd. The kickoff is set for 6:30 ET.
Both of these teams picked up convincing wins in the Wild Card Round.
Kansas City started off as a 2 point favorite and that number is now up to 2.5. The total has gone from 54 to 55.
Buffalo Bills
The Bills just keep on playing a very high level of football. Even though they seemed out sorts at times this year, it is no surprise that a lot of people had them as their best pick to win the Super Bowl. When they are rolling, they are dangerous.
Buffalo absolutely crushed the New England Patriots in the Wild Card Round on Saturday by a score of 47-17. It was one of those games where there was never a question about who would win it.
The win over their divisional rival last week does not surprise me because they are the better team, but the margin for victory did catch me a bit off guard. I really never thought they would smoke them by thirty points.
As he has been for many games this season, Josh Allen was damn good in their last win. He finished the day going 21/25 for 308 yards and an amazing 5 touchdown passes. It is hard to be more efficient than that.
The defense proved it all throughout the regular season and they showed on Saturday again that this unit is elite. They made the offense for the Patriots look totally clueless out there and they will look to have similar success when they try and slow down a very potent offense in Kansas City.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs are playing some great football at the right time. It really seems like they have been clicking on both sides of the ball.
As expected, Kansas City took care of the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday in the Wild Card Round. Even though they got off to a slow start, they still bested them by three touchdowns.
A lot of people were quite critical of this team when they were struggling early, but KC never let that get to them. Since then, pretty much all they have done is win games and they seemed poised to make another deep run in the playoffs. With that said, getting over Buffalo will be a massive hurdle.
In the win over the Steelers, Patrick Mahomes was 30/39 for 404 yards with 5 touchdown passes and 1 pick. He looked very sharp out there and he will look to keep that up on Sunday.
Early on in the season, the defense did not play well for these guys, but they have gotten much better throughout the season and it has been quite impressive. Of course, slowing down that Buffalo offense will not be easy, but I have a feeling that these players will embrace it.

4* Free Divisional Round NFL Betting Prediction: Bills +2.5
Man, if things go how people seem to think they will, this could be one hell of a game. I get that Kansas City is the favorite here, but I feel it would be a mistake to just take the Bills lightly.
These teams met back in October and Buffalo absolutely thrashed them in Arrowhead. I am not saying that is going to happen again on Sunday, but that game was no fluke. If the Bills are on their game, they have the players and coach to make things hard on their opponent here.
Both teams are playing with a lot of confidence, but I think the Bills are playing with a little bit more of it. After what they did in their last game, I feel like they have the mindset that they can knock off anyone and those are the sorts of things that can carry over to their play.
Given how good both of these squads are, I can see it being a very close battle. It would not shock me at all if it came down to the final minutes of the football game.
I get that the defense for the Chiefs is playing much better, but I feel like if they are on their game, the Bills can score on anyone. I do not feel that the Buffalo will fall behind by a ton of points here and it would not shock me if they won the game outright. Either way, laying 2 and the hook with the Chiefs is too much for me in this contest.
I like the Bills catching the 2.5 on the road here.
