Monday Night Football features two of teams who are playing exceptionally well as of late.
The New England Patriots put their 3 game winning streak on the line, while the Ravens look to make it 3 straight wins themselves as they continue to battle atop the AFC North with the Steelers.
The Ravens need to continue putting up wins, as they sit with an identical 7-5 record with the Steelers atop the AFC North.
The Ravens come in off back to back wins, with the latest being a 38-6 win over the Dolphins on Sunday. Baltimore dominated from the opening kickoff and eventually put up the third largest margin of victory under coach John Harbaugh.
Baltimore continues to see solid production from QB Joe Flacco.
Flacco threw the ball 47 times and completed 36 of them while racking up 381 yards and 4 touchdowns. The task will be tall here against a very good pass defense in New England.
TE Dennis Pitta could be a viable option here as he comes in off his best game of the season. Pitta caught a pair of touchdown passes and was Flacco’s number 1 target in the red zone.
You won’t beat this Patriots team deep down field, which means RB Terrance West and Pitta are going to be extremely important in this game.
New England Patriots
The Patriots have won 3 straight games, but they did receive some bad news prior to their 26-10 win over the Rams on Sunday.
TE Rob Gronkowski is going to miss the rest of the season after having back surgery, which means QB Tom Brady will be without his main target.
However, one thing Brady does well is make his receivers better. No matter who he’s throwing too, he’ll get it to them and put it right in their hands.
WR Julian Edelman will have to certainly step up going forward and he did just that against Los Angeles. Edelman finished with 8 receptions for 101 yards in the win.
RB LeGarrette Blount will also have to step up going forward to pick up the slack. Blount finished with 88 yards and a touchdown as the pass game from Brady really puts the defense on their heels and allows for a lot of holes to open up for the tailback.
