The Cardinals played spoiler on Sunday and routed the Seahawks, 27–13, at CenturyLink Field despite an injury to their young, dynamic quarterback of the future.
The Rams’ playoff hopes were dashed with their second loss to San Francisco this season and they have to win this final game at home just to finish over .500.
Arizona Cardinals
Kyler Murray was eleven for eighteen passing for a 118 and a touchdown and had done some damage in the running game before he suffered a hamstring injury Sunday in Seattle.
But twenty-six-year-old Brett Hundley of UCLA stepped in and finished off the victory going four of nine and as well gave the Seahawks some headaches as a runner.

Some may remember Hundley as the Packers’ fill-in a season ago when Aaron Rodgers went down for an extended period of time. He led mostly an inept Green Bay offense but he started nine games as a second-year pro and did complete sixty percent of his passes.
He may be under the microscope in this game (though the game itself isn’t the most important on Week 17’s schedule) because Murray’s status is unknown.
The Cardinals don’t have anything to play for but pride but it’s been a relatively encouraging season for their first year head coach and quarterback.
The Cardinals didn’t win a lot of games but Murray threw for over 3,200 yards and ran for another 500. He accounted for twenty-one touchdowns to ten interceptions and led a couple of game-winning drives. It certainly wasn’t a disaster and so the Cardinals have something they feel like they can build on.
So while Murray would certainly love to play this week and the Cardinals would love for him to play, if he’s hurt there is just no way he will.
After Week 16’s disappointment Seattle will still be in the playoffs and can still win the division by beating the Niners in Week 17 but the Seahawks missed an opportunity to vault to the top of the NFC playoff picture.
LA Rams
If the Rams had moved east instead of west to Los Angeles four years ago, they would be in pretty good shape to make the playoffs headed into Week 17.
The Eagles lead the NFC East with an 8–7 record. The Rams have the same mark but were out of their division chase before Week 16 began.
And because a team will win the East with, at best, a 9–7 record and either the 49ers or Seahawks and either the Packers or Vikings will take the two wild card slots, the Rams are out of luck. They will not have a chance to defend their title as NFC Champions.
Jared Goff was inconsistent in his third season but he did finish the season fairly strong. He finished twenty-seven of forty-six for 323 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday night’s 34–31 loss to the 49ers.
Robbie Gould hit the game-winner in the final seconds for San Francisco.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: it goes over.
Kenyan Drake has been a man possessed ever since he arrived in the desert and the Cardinals’ running game has been a serious problem for unsuspecting defenses.
Los Angeles’ defense has been a little unsuspecting all season, it’s seemed. Now it has nothing to play for in a snoozer of a Week 17 matchup.
But Goff and the offense may still have something to prove (though how much can it really prove in a meaningless Week 17 game against the Cardinals?).
