The Cardinals will travel to Carolina to take on the Panthers in Week 4 of the NFL season. Arizona comes into this matchup 2-1 on top of the NFC West, while Carolina is coming off their first win and sit at 1-2.
Arizona Cardinals
Kliff Kingsbury and company are coming off a loss against the Detroit Lions after a couple of costly turnovers that led to Detroit scores. Kyler Murray has returned to Earth after his hot start. Murray threw three interceptions in the game and statistically it’s hard to win when your QB commits that many turnovers in a game.
Kyler is trying to follow up an impressive rookie season in which he was voted offensive rookie of the year. He has completed 75 of 113 passes so far this year for a total of 786 yards to go with his four touchdowns and five interceptions. Murray also has 187 yards rushing and four touchdowns. He already has tied the number of rushing touchdowns he had all of last year in just three games.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Cards are led by a great pass rush and strong safety play. Chander Jones was second in the league in sacks last season with 19 on the year and already has one to start his 2020 campaign. Free Safety Budda Baker has been great to start 2020 as he leads the team in tackles with 28 on the season. His 22 solo tackles are also the most by any one player on the squad.
Carolina Panthers
Panthers pulled out their first win of the season this past week and they got Matt Rhule the first win of his NFL coaching career. Carolina looked good on both sides of the ball forcing turnovers into points to secure the victory.
Teddy Bridgewater has been pretty good back in action with his own team after leaving New Orleans in the offseason. Bridgewater has completed 77 of 104 passes for 871 yards to go with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Those 871 yards for are good for sixth in the league in passing just two spots behind the leading MVP candidate’s Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson.
With the loss of Christian McCaffery, Carolina has had to turn to Mike Davis to take the majority of the carries. Davis had just 46 yards against the Chargers, but they did focus more on the passing game in the contest. Look for him to be more of a factor this Sunday.
