Eagles 2020 Season Preview
Ready to check out our 2020 Philadelphia Eagles Win Total Predictions? The Eagles fan were on cloud nine a few years ago when backup quarterback, Nick Foles brought them home a Super Bowl title. They figured their success would continue with Carson Wentz returning from injury. Things have not quite panned out the way they would have liked.

Sure they have few division titles since then, but early exits in the playoffs means that is not good enough. They will once again look for Wentz to improve this upcoming year and hopefully lead them to a successful season with more than 9 wins.
In what has been a lackluster NFC East over the last few seasons, means it gives the Eagles a great opportunity to come away with the division title.
The Eagles and Cowboys once again are co-favorites to win the division and in all honesty, it will probably come down to the Week 17 game.
That is how this division tends to go because both Dallas and Philadelphia could easily choke it away even against the worst opponent.
I mean Philadelphia lost to Miami last season and still won the division, what does that tell you about Dallas?

Key Additions:
- Darius Slay, CB
- Javon Hargrave, DT
The Eagles had to give up a 3rd round and 5th round pick for Darius Slay, but it was worth it for a player who has had plenty of success in his career. His numbers dipped a little in 2019, only recording 2 interceptions, but 19 interceptions in his career could make the difference for this Philadelphia secondary.
Looking to bolster their defensive line, the Eagles signed Javon Hargrave this offseason. After a career high 6.5 sacks in 2018, he had 4 sacks in 2019. Still adding depth is what the Eagles need to apply pressure on the opposing quarterbacks.
Key Losses:
- Malcolm Jenkins, S
- Nelson Agholor, WR
- Jordan Howard, RB
A big hit to the Eagles secondary this season will be Malcolm Jenkins. The Eagles released him perhaps because he only has 1 interception over the last two seasons combined. Nonetheless, his leadership played a big role for the Eagles and they will have to move forward without him.
The Eagles also lost two offensive weapons this offseason, including Nelson Agholor and Jordan Howard. Both guys had their lowest output last season, which may be why the Eagles felt they were not worth re-signing.
Even still, Wentz needs bodies to throw to right now, so the loss of two weapons hurt their offense as a whole.
2020 Philadelphia Eagles Predictions: Off Season Analysis
The Eagles did not make any extreme moves this offseason and just did some fine tuning to prepare for this upcoming season. As I mentioned before, Wentz needs more weapons other than Zach Ertz, so the draft may be where they will be looking to find some offensive talent.
The Eagles have 8 picks in the 2020 NFL draft this week. This includes 1 first round pick, 1 second round pick, 1 third round pick, 3 fourth round picks, 1 fifth round pick and 1 sixth round pick.
2020 Philadelphia Eagles Win Total Prediction
The Eagles have gone 9-7 over the last two years and that is my projection for them this season as well. They just have not shown the ability to win the big games, or furthermore, they lose to teams they should handle easy.
2020 Philadelphia Eagles Predictions: 9 Team Wins & 1st in the NFC East (Bet Now at any of our reviewed NFL Sportsbooks!)
Near the beginning of this article, I mentioned how the NFC East is pretty weak. A team could easily win this division at 9-7. I expect the Eagles to, at the minimum go 3-3 in their division. I am not ruling out a loss to Washington either because this team is capable of losing to any team.
They will also play the NFC West and the AFC North. Against the NFC West, I see them going 2-2. As for the AFC North, they could easily go 3-1 or maybe 2-2. Their other opponents are the New Orleans Saints and the Green Bay Packers. I see them losing both these games. That would leave them around 8 wins, maybe 9 wins if they perform better against their division opponents.
