Ravens 2020 Season Preview
Ready to check out our 2020 Baltimore Ravens Win Total Predictions? The Ravens are one of the more interesting teams in the league coming into this season. At times last year, they looked like one of the best teams in the league with Lamar Jackson leading a unique and explosive offense. There is a reason running quarterbacks are not the ideal though, so can they be elite again.

One thing helping the Ravens this season is that they look like the best team in the NFC North to start. Cincinnati is going to be bad once again while Cleveland and Pittsburgh are huge question marks.
Jackson is the key of course. Last season he was brilliant. He is one of the best runners in the game, even though he is a quarterback and he made very few mistakes over the course of the season. If he maintains a high level of decision making and stays healthy a division title looks likely.
The defense was also elite last season and there is every reason too expect that to continue. This is a very experienced group though and sometimes that can mean getting old fast. Calais Campbell and Earl Thomas can be monsters on the line and on the backend respectively but both are over 30. They need to provide more than just leadership.
2020/21 NFL Team Predictions – Baltimore Ravens
- Baltimore Ravens 2021 Super Bowl Odds: +300
- Ravens 2020 Win Total NFL Odds: 11.5
Key Additions:
- Calais Campbell, DL
- Derek Wolfe, DL
This is being written before the 2020 NFL draft so there is a good chance, knowing the track record of the team, that they find a nice fit in a position of need there.
The obvious focus here is the defensive line. Campbell is a pro and a physical monster. His first two seasons in Jacksonville were his best in the NFL statistically and he was not young then so anything is possible. He needs good talent around him and he will have that in Baltimore.
Wolfe set a career high with 7 sacks last season with Denver, the only team he has ever played for. He has a great motor and it is hard to think he won’t fit in with this group. He can make a play now and again but you do not have to scheme for him.
Key Losses:
- Chris Wormley, DL
- Hayden Hurst, TE
- Marshall Yanda, OL
Yanda had been with the team a long time so perhaps he will be missed, a little. Hurst was a somewhat reliable target but far from a feature of the their offense. Wormley will not be missed with their defensive line replacements.
2020 Baltimore Ravens Predictions: Off Season Analysis
The Ravens had won 12 games in a row before a thud in their playoff game against Tennessee. They scored only 12 points in the game, the only time they had scored less than 23 points all season.
The team seams to have taken it as an aberration though as they ran back most of the contributors from last year. Jackson can continue to improve but there is no guarantee there.
The Ravens have the 30th pick in the draft this season. They can certainly get a good player but he is going to have to overperform to be a real difference-maker. Some have them connected to AJ Epenesa, an edge rusher from Iowa. I see the fit.
Another priority would be to get some pass-catchers who were a little more dynamic than whey they currently have. It would be easier to create chunk plays without having to put Jackson in so much danger if they had some of those guys.
2020 Baltimore Ravens Win Total Prediction
The current schedule is not complete but the Ravens do know who they will be playing this season. Looking at the division first the schedule does not look tough on paper. No other team in the AFC North finished above 8-8 last season. I am not sure any team is poised for a leap this year either.
Outside the division, they get the NFC East and the AFC South. The latter provides a chance to avenge a playoff loss a year ago but that group of teams is a mess, and the NFC East is even worse.
Dallas and Philly are the top teams from that group but neither won 10 games a year ago. The defending champs, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the New England Patriots are on the schedule. Those are going to be their two toughest games.
2020 Baltimore Ravens Predictions: 12 Wins & 1st in the AFC North (Bet Now at any of our reviewed NFL Sportsbooks!)
The Ravens are tied with the Chiefs for the highest win total in the league at 11.5 Sure they won 14 games a year ago but most teams are not at that high level in back to back seasons. I am looking for a little regression here even in a very strong overall season, that might have a better ending.
Predicting 12 wins with that total is not a great value though; Look to other spots.
