One of the top rivalries in all of college sports reignites Thursday when the 15th ranked Texas Longhorns travel to Oklahoma to take on the Oklahoma Sooners.
Texas is coming off a 81-67 win against Iowa State. The Longhorns have four of their last six games and are 9-6 in conference play.
Oklahoma has been reeling and has lost three games in a row. The Sooners recently lost back-to-back games against their other rival, Oklahoma State.
Texas Longhorns
The Texas Longhorns had sky-high expectations coming into the season having returned all their minutes from last year. So far the Horns have been one of college basketball’s better teams and have been very balanced.
Texas was able to coast against an awful Iowa State team. Texas will be faced with a much tougher test Thursday against Oklahoma. The Longhorns are 4-7 this season against Quad-1 opponents.
Seniors have led the way for the Longhorns. Andrew Jones, Matt Coleman II and Jericho Sims have accounted for just under half the team’s points this year. Jones is shooting 29.7 percent from downtown and will have to regain his composure foe the Longhorns to have a shot.

After a mid-season stretch of being one of the hottest teams in college basketball, the Sooners have come back down to Earth and are falling in the standings. The Sooners have lost three games in a row and are 9-7 in conference. The Sooners still have five quad-1 victories and project as a six-seed.
