Texas comes in at 7-3, fresh off a feel-good offensive explosion against the Southern Jaguars, where they dropped 95 points.

Also, Connecticut’s straight-up record is strong, but their recent spread results tell a different story. The Huskies have gone just 3-7 against the number in their last 10 games, which opens the door for opponents to hang around.
Texas has enough scoring firepower to prevent this game from turning into a runaway.
Besides, the Longhorns have gone 5-0 to the over in their last five games, showing they can keep pace even when facing quality competition. That consistent scoring helps soften the blow of a large spread.
UConn still does plenty of things well, but covering big numbers hasn’t been automatic. Texas doesn’t need to win this game outright, just stay competitive.
Ultimately, a spread this large feels inflated given how easily Texas puts points on the board.
