Princeton Tigers
Princeton will look to get back into the win column when they face the Penn Quakers on the road.
This ball club shares the same record at home and away and an overall record of 12-5. There really have not been many teams from the Ivy League that have stood out because of their strong play, but they have been one of them.
Their 72-70 loss to the Brown Bears is definitely one they would like to get back. Leading 44-36 at halftime, the Tigers were unable to hold that lead and take care of a team they are better than. Offensively, the production was not the same for them in the second half and the defense was unable to make the necessary adjustments.
As they hit the road to take on a familiar conference foe, it is another opportunity for them to pick up a win against a team they are better than. Being able to finish the game should certainly be an emphasis in a spot like this.
Something this squad has been able to do well this season is get solid offensive and defensive production. If they are able to do that on Monday evening, they will beat an opponent that has been very up and down.

Princeton is scoring right around 75 points per game and they are allowing just around 65 points per game. For the most part, they shoot the ball at a respectable clip.
Tosan Evbuomwan is scoring 12.5 points per game and is pulling down 6.2 rebounds while Ryan Langborg is scoring 12.4 points per game to go along with 3.4 boards.
One stat that has really stood out to me for this team is their free throw shooting. The Tigers are shooting just 68 % from the charity strike. That simply is not good enough in modern college basketball and I would expect more from a team like this in that department.
Some victories in the conference have come against Columbia, Harvard, and Cornell.
Penn Quakers
As noted earlier, Penn has struggled with consistency thus far in their season. They sit exactly at .500 with a record of 9-9.
Although their record is nothing that stands out, they have played pretty well at home and there has been a noticeable difference in their performances on the road vs. at home. They will look to keep that up and get home win # 6 when they host Princeton.
Their last game was played on Saturday and they dropped to Dartmouth by a score of 75-71. Stylistically, it was very similar to the last loss for Princeton.
They were able to get solid offense and go into the half with a lead, but that did not carry over into the second half, as they got outscored by 10 points.
If the Quakers do not play a complete game, it will be very challenging for them to pull off the win against an opponent like the Tigers. It is not good enough to play well in bursts and not sustain that for the remainder of the game.

There are three players that are scoring in double figures this season for this squad- – Jordan Dingle (23.6), Clark Slajchert, (16.5), and Max Martz (10.5). Other players have had some success scoring the ball, but the bulk of it has come from the above three players.
At the moment, Penn does not have a ton of players they can go to if some of their top guys are sidelined or do not have their “A” game. I would not say depth is a strong suit of this team.
For the most part during the 2022-2023 campaign, scoring the ball has not been the main issue for the Quakers. I have mostly liked what I have seen from them in that department.
A lot of their inconsistency this season can be tied back to their defense. They have been ok in that area from time to time, but it still has not been great. This is a club that still allows too many points and that is a concern when they host Princeton.
