New Orleans Pelicans
The New Orleans Pelicans have been in a serious slump as they’ve lost eight of their last nine games and they will be hoping to avoid a fourth straight loss after falling against the Timberwolves in a 120-110 road loss on Saturday.
The Pelicans were once again led by Brandon Ingram with 30 points on 11-20 shooting, Eric Bledsoe added 28 points on 11-23 shooting, Zion Williamson scored 19 points along with 11 rebounds while Lonzo Ball chipped in with 11 points and 7 assists.
The Smoothie King Center will be a welcomed sight on Monday for the Pelicans as they finally return from a brutal 6 game road stretch out west. New Orleans is trending down fast as they have fallen all the way to the 14th spot in the Western Conference, only a game above the Minnesota Timberwolves. They were supposed to play Monday night against San Antonio but the game was cancelled due to COVID protocols so this will be New Orleans first game in 4 days.

Washington has been a mess all season as they have struggled to get on track due to COVID along with their poor defensive effort. Bradley Beal has been a one man band for Washington as has been the case for Beal for years now. The Pelicans aren’t great but they are the more rested side and that will show in this one. Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson should have no problem getting points in this one and will lead New Orleans to pull away thanks to their offensive end.
