Wednesday, March 20th brings you an NBA Eastern Conference showdown as the Washington Wizards come into the Windy City to take on the Chicago Bulls. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 Eastern time, live from the United Center.
Washington won the last time they visited Chicago, 134-125 on February 9th, but the Bulls won the first meeting of the year in Washington, 101-92. So we will see if the trend of the visiting team as the winner comes through again.
Washington Wizards
Washington comes into this game winners of three out of their last five games, but lost to Utah 116-95 on Monday night. That night also saw the end of Bradley Beal’s back to back 40 point games. This team can win when he doesn’t go off, but it seems its easier to get the W when he does.

The playoffs aren’t quite out of reach yet for the Wizards, they sit just 4.5 game behind Miami for the 8th and final playoff spot, but as this season’s days are coming to an end, it doesn’t seem a very likely outcome for this team.
In their loss to the Jazz Monday night, the Wizards shot 42% from the field, but struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 29.6%, on 8 of 27 shooting. They made the most of their free throws, going 19 for 22, but were outrebounded by ten, 52-42. Overall, they were just out played by Utah.

Jabari Parker had a game high 19 points in 30 minutes of game time off the bench. He also had a team high 8 rebounds in the game. Bradley Beal led all starters in scoring with 15 points in 31 minutes on the floor. Only three other players from Washington scored in double figures.
Injury Report: PG John Wall and C Dwight Howard are both listed as “out” for Wednesday night.
Chicago Bulls
The Bulls ended a 6 game losing streak on Monday night when they beat the Los Suns of Phoenix 116-101. That was a game the Bulls should win, but more often than not, this team just continues to underperform for the amount of talent that is on this roster.
Speaking of underperforming, the Bulls have already been eliminated from playoff contention, and would be better off not winning too many more of their 10 remaining games. One more lottery pick piece for this team could do wonders for them next year.

In that win over the Suns, the Bulls shot 51.7% from the field, but left a lot to be desired from their long range shots, hitting just 25% of their three pointers. They went 20 of 24 from the free throw line, and outrebounded Phoenix 57-45. If they can reel in a few more threes than last game, they could come away with another win on Wednesday night.
Robin Lopez had a team high 24 points in the win in Phoenix, while Lauri Markkanen had 17 points and a team high 9 rebounds. Zach LaVine added 17 points and a team high 7 assists. Cristiano Felcio led all Bulls bench players with 10 points and 8 boards in 19 minutes of action.
Injury Report: PG Zach LaVine is listed as “questionable” for Wednesday night and SF Otto Porter Jr. is listed as “doubtful.” SG Denzel Valentine, SF Chandler Hutchison and C Wendell Carter Jr. are all listed as “out” for the Bulls.
NBA Betting Trends:
- Wizards are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 overall games
- Bulls are 8-21 ATS in their last 29 home games
- Over is 10-3-1 in team’s last 14 head to head matchups in Chicago
Free Washington Wizards vs. Chicago Bulls NBA Prediction:
Washington should be able to get this win on the road, a place where they have been just awful this year (8-27). Chicago just doesn’t look like a team that wants to win games this year.
The Bulls are just as bad at home as the Wizards are on the road this year (8-27) which is hard to believe. Maybe it’s the ghosts of great teams past that haunts them, but regardless, this team is just bad, so don’t waste your money betting on them.
