The Washington Wizards look to start turning this 2021 campaign around this Monday, as they head out on the road for this matchup with the Chicago Bulls at United Center.
Washington Wizards
Highlighting how bad this season has been for the Wizards was two games ago in a blowout loss to the Miami Heat, as Alex Len ended up leading the team in scoring. That is obviously not a great sign considering their is real talent on this team like Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal, so I do not see any excuses for this team to be as bad as they are.
In real terms the only thing the Wizards have going for them is the fact that their division is kind of awful, and therefore only sit 4 games back of first place despite their dismal record, so this team will have an opportunity here to make up for this bad start.
If the Wizards are actually going to turn this ship around they will need to beat teams like the Chicago Bulls and the only real path to victory for Washington is Beal going nuclear, so look out for the All-Star shooting guard in this one.
Chicago Bulls
The Bulls on the other side of things were really impressive in their last game shooting a whopping 50% from three in an eventual 118-92 win. That should give this team plenty of confidence that they can go toe to toe with the Wizards in what is likely a shoot-out especially with the form Zach Lavine is in, as he also put up 39 points in that last game.
The Bulls are still a little banged up though, as Otto Porter and Lauri Markkanen both missed that game against the Orlando Magic, so look out for their status ahead of this one, as both of these guys can make an impact for the Bulls.
I would also look out for Coby White here, as he has been getting monster minutes, but just has not been able to really pop yet, but it would not be a surprise if he finally shows up with a monster performance at home against this poor defense.

I know the Chicago Bulls are no powerhouse, but I find myself not being able to trust this Washington team especially on defense, as they are consistently making opposing players look like Michael Jordan. Lavine can definitely do some serious damage in this match up and it really is just a guessing game whether or not Washington will be able to out shoot their awful defense.
