On Sunday, January 10th, the Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors will play for the first time this season.
Entering the match both clubs are coming off victories with the Raptors erasing a 19-point deficit to win by 21 over the Kings while the Warriors delivered an impressive double-figure win over the Clippers.
Toronto Raptors
Things were looking dire for the Raptors as they took to the court in Sacramento sporting a 1-6 record and missing their emotional leader Kyle Lowry who was out for personal reasons.
The Kings began the game on fire scoring 43 points in the opening frame but inexplicably the Raptors only trailed by eight points after closing the quarter on a 13-3 run of their own.

After that, it was all Raptors who won each of the next three quarters to register a much needed 144-121 victory in a game that saw a 40 point shift.
Fred VanVleet led the way with 34 points and seven assists. Pascal Siakam seems to have found his rhythm and came one rebound shy of a triple-double with 17 points and 11 assists.
Chris Boucher continues to make the case to be the starting center collecting a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds. Norman Powell (23), Terence Davis (18), and rookie Malachi Flynn (12) were the other double-figure contributors.
Aron Baynes was a CD DNP and Alex Len played five minutes but Toronto won the rebounding battle 44 to 26.
Lowry isn’t listed on the injury report but his presence Sunday is questionable. Patrick McCaw (knee) is out indefinitely.
Golden State Warriors
Despite falling behind 65-51 the Warriors returned from the halftime break to take over the contest outscoring the Clippers 64-40 to collect the victory.
The Clippers had all their starters active so this was a turning point victory for the Dubs.
Stephen Curry continued to remind fans of why he won back-to-back MVP awards. While the Clippers held him to 13 points in the prior game Steph rebounded with a double-double of 38 points and 11 assists punctuated by nine 3-pointers.
Andrew Wiggins added 16 points and Eric Paschall chipped in 12 as the only other double-figure contributors. A key difference was the benches with the Dubs reserves outscoring the Clippers 42-20.
Andrew Wiggins (foot) and Kevon Looney (hip) are listed as questionable for Sunday. Alen Smailagic (knee) is out until February while Marquese Chriss (ankle) and Klay Thompson (Achilles) are lost for the season.

Free Toronto Raptors vs. Golden State Warriors NBA Prediction:
The presence of Draymond Green is having a palpable effect both defensively and helping with playmaking.
Nick Nurse is struggling to figure out their center issues but if he starts Boucher will it negatively impact the reserve unit he brings so much energy to?
The other option (if Lowry is back) is to stay small, keep Norman Powell in with Anunoby playing center. Not inconceivable, given Green is undersized and Wiseman (although very talented) is a rookie.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Bet the over
Canadian-born Wiggins tends to feast on his hometown team while VanVleet has had success defending Curry and both have been on fire this week.
That said, the Raptors are desperate to get back to .500 and should finally get consecutive victories.
