San Antonio Spurs
San Antonio caught a break not having to face CJ McCollum on Monday but it still stopped a hot Portland team in its tracks, 125–104.
Four Spurs scored at least 20 points: DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge in the starting lineup and Patty Mills and Rudy Gay off the bench.
Both DeRozan and Dejounte Murray dished out 11 assists each.

The win was San Antonio’s sixth in its last eight games and the Spurs are starting to show they can win games in a multitude of ways. Their net rating is eleventh in the NBA.
Golden State Warriors
The Warriors also stayed hot with a 115–113 win over the Lakers on Monday. They have now won five of their last eight.
Stephen Curry led the way with 26 points, despite converting just three of his twelve three-point attempts. He shot 50 percent from two and made all seven of his free throws.
Kelly Oubre backed him with 23 points and Andrew Wiggins chipped in 18. Eric Paschall finished eight out of eleven for 19 off the bench.
Aside from Klay Thompson, Golden State is at full strength and its showing with the depth of the second unit. Head Coach Steve Kerr played eleven guys in the win over the Lakers, including ten for at least a dozen minutes of playing time.
Only four of those eleven who played turned the ball over, including Brad Wanamaker who turned it over just once. The bench finished with fourteen assists to just that one turnover.
