Suns Magic Free Pick: Suns +2.5
Here is my Suns Magic free pick.
Entering Sunday, the Magic said they were approaching the game versus the Raptors like it was a Game 7 because they needed to win. Things looked good because Toronto was missing four key contributors.
Instead, they entered the history books by allowing Toronto to go on a 31-0 run and lost by 52 points… YIKES!
Bottom line, the wheels have come off in Orlando, where they used to be a great defensive team but have slipped to the middle of the pack with their recent gagging actions.
Orlando benefitted from an easy segment of opponents, but with the streak over, they are struggling to beat the upper echelon. With just eight games remaining, they need to get a grasp on their identity.
Making matters worse, there are loud whispers that Paolo Banchero and Coach Jamahl Mosley aren’t seeing eye to eye, and you have to wonder if we’ll get another coach firing before the playoffs begin.
Phoenix is also struggling to capture wins, but they’ve been in more matches than not, so I’ll take the points and the Suns in this contest.

“I’ve got to do a better job of preparing them for what they were going to see tonight,” #Magic coach Jamahl Mosley said when I asked how he explains a 52-point loss at Toronto. “… I’ve got to have them prepared for the physicality of the game … That’s on me.”
