Conversely, the Lakers are on a roll and have the coveted second seed right behind the Thunder. Which let’s face it, most teams don’t believe they can catch OKC so the second seed is imperative to avoid them until the Conference Finals.

Phoenix ranks 12th offensively (115.8), tied for 13th defensively (113.5), and 14th in net rating (+2.3), running a pace of 100.05, which ranks 24th overall.

Again, as I previously noted, the Suns are now facing a daunting schedule segment and are showing a truer version of who they are, which is a squad that is likely to compete for a play-in berth.
LA has yet to deliver defensively, but their offense is robust, and as LeBron eases back, it has the potential to be even better.
The Lakers continue to integrate LeBron James back into their offense with Luka Doncic and Austin Reeves remaining the primary and secondary focus.
Phoenix has struggled against the top teams, and I suspect this match will be no different, so I’ll take the Lakers to win and cover.
