The Phoenix Suns are having a decent season in 2021 with a 10-8 record and a lot of their success comes down to their excellent back court duo of Devin Booker and CP3. Unfortunately for them, though, is the fact that Booker will be out for this one with an injured hamstring.
Now that may not be the end of the world for them, as Booker was unable to go in last night’s contest and CP3 and Deandre Ayton both stepped up in big ways in the absence of Booker in order to help the Suns get over the line in their last game against the Mavs. As for other notable absences for the Phoenix Suns on Monday evening, they will also be with Dario Saric and Cameron Johsnon
It appears as though the Suns might have some more upside too, as Chris Paul has been quoted saying that this team has not been playing well enough despite this Suns team sporting a decent enough record, so their very well may be more to come from this Suns team later in the season. This will be a good test, though, as it is tough to sweep a back to back especially on the road and if they are able to do that even without Booker it will be mighty impressive.
Dallas Mavericks
It is really hard to pinpoint exactly what is going wrong with the Mavericks right now, but despite their losing streak it appears as though the bookmakers have plenty of confidence in this team still putting them up as 3 point favorites in this one. The Mavericks do not have injuries, but Doncic has been quoted saying that the team is ”playing like they don’t care” which is certainly concerning and may point to something to do with the coaching staff or some internal problem that we do not really know about.
One thing is for sure in this one and that is that this Mavs team will come to play, as they know that they need to stop the bleeding in terms of their slumping record and they will want to avoid a home sweep by the Suns as well.
