Oklahoma City ended their four game losing streak on Sunday with a 99-95 win at home over the Memphis Grizzlies. They had to claw their way back in that one, a game which they should have handled easily if they are the playoff team that they say they are.

Speaking of playoffs, coming out of the weekend, the Thunder currently hold the third best record in the Western Conference, tied with the Portland Trail Blazers. The Blazers have been on a tear ever since the break, but the Thunder, not so much. A win here is almost a must at this point in the year, especially if they want to avoid the dreaded 4-5 postseason matchup.
In that win over Memphis, the Thunder shot 35.5% from the field, and 30% from three point land. Both of those numbers will have to come up if they want to win this game. They have great shooters, but have been struggling of late. They went 24-33 at the line, and out rebounded the Grizzlies 63-51.

Russell Westbrook led the Thunder in scoring with 22 points, but the biggest stat line of the night belonged to Steven Adams, who had a 22 rebounds to go with his 13 points. Dennis Schroder came out of his funk to record a double-double for OKC, he had 17 points and 12 rebounds in 41 minutes. Abdel Nader added 15 points off the bench for the Thunder.
Injury Report: SF Paul George is listed as “questionable” for Tuesday night, and SG Andre Robinson is listed as “out” for the Thunder.
Minnesota Timberwolves
Minnesota comes into this game winners of only one out of their last five games after their 135-121 loss to the Washington Wizards on Sunday. Their lone win over that stretch was 112-105 win over the Sacramento Kings at home.
The Timberwolves are within striking distance of the playoffs, but a berth is unlikely at this juncture of the season. If they can keep beating up the teams ahead of them, like they did against Sacramento, it would definitely give them a shot, but the outcome will still most likely be the same at the end of the day.

In their loss to Washington on Sunday, the Wolves shot really well from the field at 52.5%, but their three point game was terrible. Hitting only 4 of 27, they need to understand when the long ball isn’t working, and go back to the drawing board. They did better at the stripe, hitting 16 of 19 free throws. They were outrebounded by the Wizards 55-53.
Karl-Anthony Towns had a game high 28 points to go along with 10 rebounds for Minnesota on Sunday, a game that saw 7 Wolves players score in double digits. Derrick Rose led the way off the bench, scoring 18 points in 24 minutes of action.
Injury Report: SF Luol Deng is listed as “questionable” for Tuesday night, and SF Robert Covington is listed as “out” for the Thunder.
