The Golden State Warriors will hoist their hardware before opening up their season against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Warriors opened up as 8 point favorites and have since shot up to 12 point favorites with about 57% of the public backing them.
The total opened up at 225.5 points and has slightly dropped to 224 points.
Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder barely snuck into the playoffs last year in a tight western division, but they pulled it off with a 50-38 record, but was knocked out by a hot Utah Jazz squad.
This squad will again feature All-Stars Russell Westbrook and Paul George, while they’ll have another dynamic play maker in Dennis Schroder, but will be without Carmelo Anthony, but maybe that is a good thing.
The road was wish-washy for the Thunder who posted a mediocre 21-23 record and a 19-25 ATS record, while overall they were just overvalued way too much all season posting a 37-50-1 ATS record.
This was already a good defensive squad, but now without a distraction in Anthony, and an upgrade with Schroder, expect the Thunder to play like they have something to prove to the rest of the league this.
Golden State Warriors
Curry, Thompson, Durant and Green. It doesn’t get much better than that other than the fact that if Boogey Cousins can come back fully recovered from the Achilles injury then Good Lord watch out.
They were also getting solid contributions from second-year Jordan Bell, so this squad is locked-and-loaded and will probably make it to another Finals.
The Warriors finished with a 74-29 record last season, but owned just a 46-56-1 record ATS, even at home they posted just a 22-29 ATS record.
When you know you are the creme of the crop and can beat any team in a best-of-seven series, then I suppose you get a little lax and don’t turn up the heat until the end of the season.

Free Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Golden State Warriors NBA Prediction:
Golden State holds off Oklahoma City to start their season off on a high note.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Thunder Spread 1st Half & UNDER 224 Points
The Thunder have gone just 2-8 and 2-8 ATS against the Warriors in their last 10 contests. During that span the Warriors have averaged 110 PPG compared to the Thunders 101 PPG, but with this being the first contest of the year, expect the Thunder to show up and strike for that bullseye on the Warriors backs.
The Warriors will most likely pull away late and possibly cover this spread, but my attention will on the first half of this game where I will be backing the Thunder and the points.
Also at play here will be the under as both these squads play defense when they face each other. Oh yeah the under is 9-1 in the last 10 matchups.
