Oklahoma City Thunder
OKC played a matinee game on both days of this past weekend. After losing big to the Knicks on Saturday, it ran right by the Grizzlies, 128–122.
The 128 points came just shy of the Thunder’s season-high of 129 against Brooklyn back on January 10. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander returned from missing the game against New York to lead OKC with 30 points. Aleksej Pokusevski scored a career-high 23 points in his first career double-double.
Drafted 17th overall in 2020 by Minnesota and traded two days later, Pokusevski made the first start of his career on Thursday. Sunday he became the youngest player in league history to score 20 points, grab 10 rebounds, and make five three-points in a game (19 years, 78 days old).
The 21-year-old center Moses Brown, who, like Pokusevski, has spent some time with OKC’s G-League affiliate this season, also started for the first time in his career against the Grizzlies.
Brown finished 5-of-6 with a career-high of 13 points before fouling out in 24 minutes.
The bench contributed, too. Four OKC reserves combined for 46 points in OKC’s second victory of the second half.
Chicago Bulls
Chicago inched closer to a playoff spot with a 118–95 victory over Toronto on Sunday.
Nine Bulls finished in double-figures and Patrick Williams set a new career-high with 23 points to lead them all. Chicago assisted on 35 baskets (to Toronto’s 23) and committed only 11 turnovers (to Toronto’s 12).
Garrett Temple missed his first game since Chicago’s opening night. Billy Donovan described Temple’s ankle sprain as moderate and said that he would be out “for a little bit.”
That opens up more minutes for Williams, as well as Denzel Valentine, who knocked down three three-pointers on Sunday and finished as one of those nine guys in double-figures.

Free Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Chicago Bulls NBA Prediction: the total goes over.
Oklahoma City has been strong as a road favorite. Chicago has taken care of its below average opponents this season. Something has to give there.
Bulls backers should be encouraged by Zach LaVine scoring just 15 points in a victory the last time out because he may see a lot of Lu Dort in this one.
That’s a bit of a concern for the over play but the number isn’t too high and the pace should be fast.
