New York will be looking to grab a third straight win Friday night after defeating the Magic in a 91-84 home win on Monday. Sacramento Kings
Sacramento has not played good basketball as they continue to try to break through to prominence. They sit in the 13th spot in the Western Conference at 5-10 and have been streaky all season. They began the year at 4-4 which included starting 3-1 then going 1-3 and have quickly fell off going 1-6 in their last 7. They will be hoping to avoid a fifth straight defeat after getting routed by the Clippers in a 115-96 road loss on Wednesday.
The Kings are led again by bright franchise star De’Aaron Fox who leads the way with 20.8 ppg, 5.9 apg, and 1.5 spg. (All Kings bests) He is followed in production by veteran Harrison Barnes and shooter Buddy Hield.
There continues to be tension surrounding the team as former #2 overall pick Marvin Bagley continues to hear trade rumors regarding his future with the team started by his own father who has been vocal about getting his son to a different team via twitter. Recently PG De’Aaron Fox’s dad felt the need to step in as well agreeing with the sentiment that Marvin needs to go. The bitterness off the court has not helped the chemistry on the court as the Kings continue to stack up losses and tumble down the standings.

It’s hard to bet on the Knicks given their unremarkable track record in the past but its safer to grab points than give them in this one especially considering how dominant New York has played defensively late. I’ll take the Knicks to escape with the upset in this one.
