To get to the semi-finals, the Magic beat the Heat in a game that was like a roller coaster. Miami took an early double-digit lead, but it was Orlando who kept plugging and got aggressive defensively to take control, winning 117-108.

Meanwhile, the Knicks took full advantage of the Raptors, who were missing two starters, to take control early and ride their impressive offense to the 117-101 victory.
Six Knicks scored in double-digits, but it was Jalen Brunson (35 points) who started the match on fire and helped his squad sail to the victory. Karl-Anthony Towns got into early foul trouble but finished the match with 14 points and 16 rebounds.

Here is my Knicks Magic free pick.
New York’s offense has been potent and is gaining strength as the starters log reps together. With OG Anunoby back, they also gain leverage on defense.
However, the Magic can’t be ignored as they dominate in specific categories, which could be the difference in the match.
For example, Orlando ranks third in fast break scoring and sixth in points scored in the paint. Categories the Knicks rank 26th and 21st, respectively.
Orlando appears to be gelling at the right time and while they will miss Franz Wagner the truth is the Magic still haven’t figured out how to best capitalize on playing Wagner with Banchero so this might be a blessing in disguise.
With regard to injuries, while the Magic will miss the Wagner brothers, the Knicks are missing a key bench cog in Deuce McBride. That might not feel like much, but New York ranks 28th in bench scoring, so his absence will be felt.
For all intents and purposes, both teams are playing on the road, so neither has the true advantage.
I love the Magic’s gritty defensive style, but I’m not convinced they can bring the offense (especially with Suggs seemingly slightly hampered) at the level they will need in order to outshoot the Knicks.
Therefore, I’ll take the Knicks to win and cover.
