New York Knicks
After a hot start the Knicks have lost five in a row, most recently on Friday night in Cleveland, 106–103.
Julius Randle had 28 and Immanuel Quickley hit for a career-high 23 off the bench but it was not enough.

The rookie Quickley has actually had two high scoring games in a row now after scoring 19 two nights earlier against the Nets. He’s gone for 42 points, seven assists and one turnover in his last two games.
Knicks’ Head Coach Tom Thibodeau will return to Boston where he earned his chance to eventually become a head coach in the league. He won a championship next to Doc Rivers on the bench in 2008.
Alec Burks missed Friday’s game and has not played since New York’s third game of the season. Apparently he’s getting closer to a return, however. The Knicks could use him. He was averaging 20 points per game when he went down.
Boston Celtics
Boston returned to action for the first time in a week on Friday and blew-out the Orlando Magic at home, 124–97.
Jaylen Brown played, despite concerns he would have to sit out for health and safety and scored 21 with eight assists, despite sitting out much of the second half.
Jeff Teague had his highest scoring game since the first game of the season with 17. JaVonte Green, Payton Pritchard and Semi Olejeye all finished in double-figures for Boston off the bench.
Jayson Tatum will continue to sit out after testing positive for the coronavirus. There are certainly nights the Celtics look better without him. The ball moves more and they are often better on defense.
One thing Orlando did do well against Boston that kept it in the game early on was crash the offensive glass.
The Knicks may have some success doing the same with Randle, Mitchell Robinson and even RJ Barrett. Boston will have to shoot better than New York to win this one at home.
