Monday, February 8, the Milwaukee Bucks travel to play the Utah Jazz as the teams meet for the first time in the 2020-21 campaign.
Last season, the squads played twice with Denver winning both contests by double-digits. The Nuggets hold the all-time record having won 61 matches of the 97 played. The Nuggets have owned the Bucks particularly when the teams play in Denver (40-9).
Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks are on a six-game road that began in Cleveland this past weekend with consecutive wins. The next four games feature this match in Denver, plus Phoenix, Utah, and finishes in Oklahoma City.
Giannis Antetokounmpo had a productive two games in Cleveland with a double-double of 33 points and 12 rebounds in the first match and followed it up with another double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds.
Jrue Holiday is fitting in well with his new team and providing an all-around effort Saturday with 20 points, three rebounds, eight assists, two steals, a block, and hit two of his four 3-point attempts.
Khris Middleton also scored 20 points connecting on four of his five 3-point shots. Bryn Forbes was the only other Bucks player to score in double-figures with 18 points. Forbes was perfect from the perimeter going 6-of-6 from deep.
Milwaukee has a fully healthy roster.
Denver Nuggets
Without Jamal Murray and Gary Harris in the lineup, all the pressure was on Nikola Jokic on Saturday as the Nuggets faced a suddenly hot Sacramento Kings crew.
The Joker did his best to keep the Nuggets in the match hitting some incredible shots en route to a career-high 50 points along with 12 assists for his double-double plus he added eight rebounds, a steal, and three blocks.
Jokic was unstoppable in the final frame in particular when he scored 23 points with some incredible shots. His effort wasn’t enough, however, as Denver fell 114-119 to the Kings.
Paul Millsap scored 14 points while Will Barton and Monte Morris each scored 11 points.
Reserve JaMychal Green pitched in with 11 points while rookie RJ Hampton got minutes with Murray and Harris out and did a decent job scoring seven points, grabbing 10 rebounds along with two assists and a block.
Jamal Murray (left knee) and Facundo Campazzo (right knee) are both questionable for Monday.
Gary Harris (left adductor strain) and PJ Dozier (hamstring) are both out versus the Bucks. Greg Whittington had knee surgery that will keep him off the court for four to six weeks.
