On Saturday, January 9th the Miami Heat face the Washington Wizards for the team’s first meeting of the 2020-21 season.

It’s been a tough start for the Heat this season as they fell back under .500 again with the loss to the Celtics on Wednesday. Last season the Heat youngsters like Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, and Kendrick Nunn each etched their place within the core.

Washington Wizards
The Wizards arrive at this game having played the night prior losing versus the Boston Celtics on the front end of a back-to-back set.
Russell Westbrook was questionable to play after dislocating his finger in the match prior but laced them up Friday but delivered a modest line of 12 points on 4 of 16 from the field along with four rebounds and eight assists.
Bradley Beal tried to keep the Wizards in the match scoring 41 points with three rebounds and three assists.
Rui Hachimura is rounding into form after missing the initial four matches of the season with an eye issue. Hachimura scored 17 while Davis Bertans added 13 points off the bench as the other double-figure contributors.
The first half put the Celtics well ahead as they won the first quarter 33-28 and built upon that lead 33-19 in the second frame to take hold a 19 point advantage entering halftime.
With news Seth Curry tested positive for COVID-19 the Wizards will be diligently testing their players since they were the team who last played versus the 76ers.
The initial tests haven’t produced any positive results for the Wizards but they’ll be tested frequently given the circumstances.
