Here is my Heat Magic free pick.
Paolo Banchero remains out, but in his absence, the Magic have found their offensive groove. In the first 12 games with their superstar, the Magic were 6-6, but in the last 10 matches are 7-3 and sit seventh in offensive rating.
Without Banchero available the Magic have found their offensive style and flow. They’ll need to re-integrate Paolo when he returns but it’s a great problem to have.
Tyler Herro is back for the Heat, and while he’s looked rusty, it’s only a matter of time for him to shake that off. More importantly, since his return, the Heat rank 10th defensively (a drop of eight spots).
Banchero and Powell are each listed as out, so it will come down to the secondary shooter to lead scoring. I’m banking on defense and perimeter shooting to be the x-factor, which has me pegging the Heat to keep this match closer than the spread.
