With Jimmy Butler back and most of the COVID-19 issues behind them, the Heat are finally playing up to their potential and working to get back onto the playoff ladder.
During the 10 games, Butler was out the Heat amassed a 2-8 record. Since his return, six games ago the club has registered four wins in six outings the most recent versus the Knicks for their third win in a row.

While the return of Butler is making a major impact the Heat is still dealing with numerous injuries. Goran Dragic has missed five of the past eight games including the last two with an ankle injury and won’t play Thursday.
Mo Harkless (thigh) will be a game-time decision. Avery Bradley (calf) will miss up to a month. Chris Silva (hip) remains out with no specified return date. Meyers Leonard underwent season-ending shoulder surgery.
Houston Rockets
The initial success the Rockets experienced following the James Harden trade when they went on a six-game winning streak has waned. Since then the Rockets have won a single time in their last five games.
The most recent game resulted in a 130-101 rout at the hands of the Pelicans. It extends the Rockets losing streak to three in a row. Notably, new franchise star Christian Wood has been out of action in those three losses.
John Wall is doing his best to keep the Rockets afloat while Wood is out and led the Rockets with 25 points, four rebounds, and six assists in the loss to the Pelicans.
Eric Gordon added 23 points and Jae’Sean Tate netted 13 points in the starting assignment. Danuel House Jr. (13) and Sterling Brown (11) were the other double-figure contributors.
John Wall is dealing with a tweaked ankle but is probable for Thursday. Victor Oladipo (quad) sat Tuesday, as the team is resting him in back-to-back games but should be good to go versus the Heat.
Wood is being reevaluated weekly and unlikely to play Thursday. Dante Exum (calf strain) is out until late March.
