They will be in action on Friday night against the Milwaukee Bucks, so an easy road game against the Suns will be welcomed after having to deal with the best team in the East the night before.
In their 125-119 win over New Orleans on Wednesday, the Lakers shot 52.1% from the field and 32% from beyond the arc, but they struggled as a team from the line, hitting only 19 of 31 of their free throw attempts. Luckily the Pelicans were ice cold from three point land, or the Lakers free throw troubles would’ve done them in.

In that win, LeBron James had a team high 33 points to go with 10 assists, while Rajon Rondo had a game high 16 assists to go along with his 11 points and team high 7 rebounds. JaVale McGee led Los Angeles in bench scoring with 10 points in 11 minutes of action.
Injury Report: PG Lonzo Ball and SG Lance Stephenson are both listed as “out” for the Lakers on Saturday night.
Phoenix Suns
Christmas came early for Phoenix Suns fans, as the team finally got their first win of the calendar year, when they downed the Miami Heat 124-121 on Monday night down in Miami. The win stopped their franchise worst 17 game losing streak. The Suns will be in action on Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Not that this team is overly trying to win games at this point of the year, but they have really struggled ever since swing man T.J. Warren got shut down earlier this year. Warren was on the floor in 8 of Phoenix’s 12 wins this year, more than their star player Devin Booker. His lack of presence has definitely been felt every since he suffered his ankle injury.

In their win over Miami on Monday, the Suns shot 50.6% from the field and a very impressive 40.6% from three point land. They went 20 of 25 from the free throw line as those extra baskets kept them in the game and allowed them to take over in the final minutes of play. They will definitely need a repeat performance of that on Saturday night.
Devin Booker once again led the Suns in scoring in that win over Miami with 20 points to go with his team high 9 assists. Deandre Ayton had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Jamal Crawford led the way off the bench for Phoenix with 16 points in 21 minutes of action.
Injury Report: SG Devin Booker is listed as “questionable” for Friday’s game against New Orleans, so it is unclear if he will be available for this game yet, and SF T.J. Warren is listed as “out” for the Suns.
