Monday, March 22nd finds the Indiana Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks meeting for the second, time in the 2020-21 campaign. The initial meeting this season occurred on February 3rd with Milwaukee winning 130-110.
The Bucks hold the all-time record between the clubs with 105 wins in 196 meetings. Last season, the teams played four times with Milwaukee winning three of the four contests.
Indiana Pacers
Caris LeVert is slowly working his way back into form and fitting in with his new club. He’s appeared in five games with Indiana and with a mosdest overall production of 14.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.4 steals.
However, his overall effect is positive with the Pacers winning three of those matches including the last two in Miami. The latter an impressive feat given the Heat had won 11 of their last 13 games.
The second victory in Miami required overtime and witnessed all five starters plus two reserves score in double-figures. Domantas Sabonis led the way with a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds.
The six other double-digit contributors were Myles Turner (16), Justin Holiday (15), Doug McDermott (15), LeVert (13), Malcolm Brogdon (12), and T.J. McConnell (12).
Although none of the Pacers cleared 20 points the effect of having so many different players who can affect the offense makes them an extremely difficult team to defend.
The Heat victories offered evidence of that effect as Miami is one of the best defensive teams that succeed by shutting down primary and secondary scoring options. Indiana’s ball movement and balanced scoring are much more difficult to limit.
And, once TJ Warren returns the Pacers will become even more difficult to defend.
Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks are playing their best basketball of the season having won six games in-a-row and 11 of their last 12 games.
The team made a shift this past week trading for PJ Tucker. The defensive specialist made his debut Saturday versus the Spurs playing 13 minutes with three rebounds and no points.
In the deal, the Bucks sent D.J. Augustin and D.J. Wilson to Houston. In a separate move, Milwaukee released Torrey Craig who signed with the Suns.
It’s no coincidence the Bucks are performing well at the same time Giannis Antetokounmpo is playing up to his MVP standards.
In the win versus the Spurs, Antetokounmpo registered a double-double of 26 points and 15 assists as well as eight rebounds. Khris Middleton scored 23 points while Jrue Holiday scored 21. In fact, all the starters plus two reserves scored in double-figures.
Although the Bucks are on a roll the recent moves meant they lost more of their playmaking so keep an eye for another move at the trade deadline to add a point guard or quality playmaker.
Rodions Kurucs didn’t play versus the Spurs on Sunday as he addresses health and safety protocols.
NBA Betting Trends:
- The Bucks are 7-3 in their last 10 head to head meetings
- The Bucks are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 head to head meetings
- Over/Under is 3-7 in the teams last 10 head to head meetings

- The Bucks are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games.
Free Indiana Pacers vs. Milwaukee Bucks NBA Prediction:
Although it’s only two victories it sure feels like the Pacers might’ve figured out their schemes with LeVert seamlessly fitting in.
Milwaukee has the rest advantage which is the only reason I’m leaning to them winning but by a closer margin than the 10 point spread.
