On Tuesday, January 12th, the Indiana Pacers and the Golden State Warriors will play for the first time this season.
The teams have played 92 games all-time with the Pacers holding the advantage of 48 wins. Last season the teams played on a single occasion with the Pacers winning 129-118.
Last week the Pacers had an easy schedule and hopefully got plenty of rest as they’ll play five games in seven days on the road. The itinerary began in Sacramento where the club registered a tough loss.
Tuesday, they’ll complete the second game of a back-to-back set in Golden State. Thursday they travel to Portland and finish with another back-to-back set on the weekend versus Suns and Clippers. That’s a tough trip that should offer further insight into this Pacers club.

The loss to the Kings was a scrappy affair that came down to the wire. Domantas Sabonis continues his double-double assault with 28 points and 11 rebounds.
Malcolm Brogdon scored 24 with nine assists while Victor Oladipo scored 21 and snagged six steals.
Doug McDermott scored 21 off the bench.
T.J. McConnell (personal) is out Monday and potentially Tuesday as well. TJ Warren (foot surgery), Jalen Lecque (ankle), Goga Bitadze (ankle), and Brian Bowen (groin) are all out indefinitely. Jeremy Lamb (knee) is set to return in mid-January.
Golden State Warriors
After feasting all week on teams Stephen Curry was probably licking his lips at the prospect of playing the Toronto Raptors — the team he’d owned the best points per game average against.
Yet, the Raptors who figured out how to limit Curry during the NBA Finals two seasons ago still boast the same starting backcourt and several others who had success in that series.
Those Raptors sent double and sometimes triple teams at the two-time MVP and it resulted in his worst shooting performance of his career as he shot 2 of 16 from the field and 1 of 10 from the perimeter.
While some players might be upset, there was Curry joyfully skipping on the court as his Dubs eeked out a one-point victory with seven players reaching double-figure scoring.
Since his return, Draymond Green is having a profound effect on his club as he came one rebound shy of a triple-double (10 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists).
It was a balanced scoring effort with Andrew Wiggins leading the scoring with 17 points. Eric Paschall (15), Damion Lee (13), Kelly Oubre Jr. (12), Curry (11), and James Wiseman (10) being the other double-digit scorers.
Alen Smailagic (knee) is out until February while Marquese Chriss (ankle) and Klay Thompson (Achilles) are lost for the season.

Free Indiana Pacers vs. Golden State Warriors NBA Prediction:
While one player can’t win a game Draymond Green’s return certainly shows how much of an impact one player can have at improving specific areas of a team system.
In Green’s case, it’s his added playmaking and defensive energy. The Dubs are 4-2 since he returned with the two losses coming on his first game back and a close loss to the Clippers.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Warriors ATS
The line opened with the Pacers favored by one but as of posting the Warriors are now the two-point favorites no doubt based on how hard the Pacers played.
With the added rest and the Dubs clicking on both ends this might be a battle but one the Warriors land on top of.
