Indiana has to be smarting after losing to the Raptors in their last game. They had a wounded team on the ropes and they let them get away.
Brooklyn has its moments and has been playing better lately. They have won seven in row which is likely to have gotten Indiana’s attention.

The Pacers have now lost two in a row after their own seven game winning streak. Per the intro they lost by three at Toronto after scoring only 11 against a depleted Raptors team in the fourth quarter. They need to rebound in this spot.

They can’t even blame injuries either. They just got Tyreke Evans back in the fold and they have no reported injuries at the moment. That is pretty good for this time of year.
The Pacers did a good job defensively holding the Raptors to under 100 points, which is rare. They even made close to 50% of their threes but turnovers did them in, 20 to 9. They are not normally so sloppy with the ball.

It is clear that this team could use another really good scorer if they want to be a bigger threat in the Eastern Conference. Victor Oladipo is great but the rest of the team struggles to just go and get buckets. Though a healthy Evans could be that guy.
This game will be a test because the Nets are in a good form but if the Pacers are really a contender they should knock them down a peg.
Brooklyn Nets
Break up the Nets. I thought they might have some moments here and there but never did I see a run like what they are on. When you look at their overall record though you can see that this is still an imperfect team. They might be catching Indiana at just the right moment though.
Within the current run they have beaten some good teams at home. It started with a surprise win over the Raptors but they have also beaten the Lakers. Still they are only 7-10 at home this season so not exactly dominating at Barclays. They do score more at home though. .

Jarrett Allen is an emerging big man and he has a chance to go toe to toe with another former longhorn. I was thisclose to saying alum but neither he nor Myles Turner were on campus enough to graduate. Anyways, that is going to be an important matchup in this one. .
