Golden State Warriors
Since getting blown out at home by the Thunder a week ago, Golden State has won three in a row at home: a blowout of Portland, a one-point win against Sacramento and a big-time comeback against Orlando.
The Warriors were down eighteen against Orlando when they went on one of their patented third quarter comebacks that leaked into the fourth. Kevin Durant had forty-nine and Klay Thompson twenty-nine. They were the only two teammates in double-digits for the home team.
Meanwhile, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green continue to sit. It sounds like Green should be the first guy back but NBC reported earlier this week that he’s planning on skipping at least another couple. Skipping is what it feels like at this point, at least. These guys are surely healthy enough to play by now.
The beauty of things for the Warriors is that Durant can just keep shooting and shooting and the team will only get better when Green and Curry return. They’re both those kind of teammates.
Toronto began a stretch of ten out of twelve games against winning teams with a comeback win over Memphis. The Grizzlies hung seventy-one points on the Raptors’ defense in the first half and had a lead as big as seventeen points in the third quarter when Toronto made its move.
Kyle Lowry led the scoring with twenty-four. Kawhi Leonard, Serge Ibaka, Danny Green and Fred Van Vleet all had at least fourteen. Leonard had a team-high ten rebounds and chipped in five assists, including two huge ones for three-pointers in the final couple minutes.
Van Vleet didn’t have a great start to the season but he’s coming on now with four double-digit scoring games in a row. The Raptors have won six in a row, overall and have shaken free from the little slump that followed the 12–1 start.

Free Golden State Warriors vs. Toronto Raptors NBA Prediction: the Raptors win as home favorites.
If the Warriors were at full strength, they’d likely be small road favorites. Without Curry and Green, they’re likely to be as big as six or seven point underdogs. Seven feels about right because of how well-equipped the Raptors are to handle Durant and how much better they are at a majority of the spots on the floor.
