Kevon Looney (ankle) out until February 19th. James Wiseman (wrist) out until February 11th. Alen Smailagic had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee and his timeline for return is February 15th.
Marquese Chriss suffered a fibular fracture to his ankle while Klay Thompson tore his right Achilles tendon. Both are out for the season.
Dallas Mavericks
The Mavericks finally got back some of their depleted roster who’ve been out due to the health and safety protocols but they entered the front side of a back-to-back on a six-game losing streak.
Worse, their superstar was calling out his team’s effort and the team had regressed to last season’s bad habit of losing games in the clutch.
Dallas arrived in Atlanta to play the front side of a back-to-back knowing they needed to stop the bleeding and they delivered with a 122-116 victory.
In the victory over the Hawks, Luka Doncic ( 27 points, 8 rebounds, 14 assists, 2 steals, block) and Kristaps Prozingis (24 points, 11 rebounds) delivered double-doubles.
Tim Hardaway Jr. (22), Josh Richardson (14), Dorian Finney-Smith (13), and Jalen Brunson (11) were the other double-figure contributors.
