Detroit became the first team in the NBA to lose ten times on Monday with a 113–107 defeat to the Heat.
Jerami Grant continued his great season with 27 points and six assists. Wayne Ellington made seven out of eleven three-point attempts to finish with 24 points.

The Pistons have lost a lot but they haven’t been blown-out a ton. Their biggest loss all season came by fifteen to Milwaukee and they have lost four games by ten points exactly. Everything else has been by single-digits.
Blake Griffin is still only 31 years old but it’s clear he’s not in this team’s long-term plans. The question is whether or not Detroit could get anything for him in the trade market.
He scored just five points Monday against the Heat and is averaging less than thirteen per game on .383 from the field. He’s shooting more threes than ever before but his percentage has slipped from a peak of close to 35 percent a fews seasons ago to 31 this year.
Atlanta Hawks
The Hawks defeated the Timberwolves Monday, 108–97, behind 100 points from the starting five.
De’Andre Hunter, Clint Capela, Trae Young, Kevin Huerter and John Collins each scored at least 15 to combine for the 100 points.
Atlanta missed Danilo Gallinari again, Cam Reddish, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kris Dunn. It’s possible all four could miss this game against Detroit, too.
These two teams played just after Christmas earlier this season. The Hawks won the game, 128–120, in a game that saw both sides shoot well.
