Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets are staring at a pair of back-to-back road games to start the week with a number of injury concerns about.
Paul Millsap is out for Tuesday’s game in Boston. Will Barton is out. Garry Harris is out. PJ Dozier is out. Monte Morris is questionable.
So while Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray will be out there, they will not have their typical reinforcements.
Of course, Denver was missing Barton, Harris and Dozier in its 122–105 blowout of the Lakers on Sunday. Jokic had a triple-double and Murray led all scorers in the game with 25 points.
Millsap actually only played 15 minutes before leaving the game but he had himself a strong start, scoring 10 points on 4-of-5 from the field.
A pair of rookies had big games off the bench. Facundo Campazzo, who went undrafted in 2013 out of Argentina and signed a two-year deal prior to this season starting, tied a career-high of 15 points.
A Wizard with the ball, he hasn’t turned it over in four games for Denver, racking up seven assists and 20 points in the process.
Zeke Nnaji, a first-rounder out of Arizona, set a new career-high with 16 points. He’s had his only two double-digit scoring games of the season in Denver’s last three games played.
Washington Wizards
So Denver will arrive in Washington late after playing the Celtics short-handed. Washington’s back-to-back is behind it and it will have the day off at home before this on on Wednesday.
The Wizards’ two games in two days went surprisingly well, producing a pair of home wins over Boston and Houston.
Not only did Washington earn two wins in a row for just the second time all season, it won both by double-digits.
Bradley Beal scored 35 against Boston and 37 against the Rockets. Russell Westbrook posted a 16/15/13 triple-double against his former team on Monday.
Moritz Wagner got his first two starts of the season in the back-to-back wins and put up double-figures in both, shooting a combined 10-of-17 from the field.

Free Denver Nuggets vs. Washington Wizards NBA Prediction: Nuggets win and cover.
Just when you think the Wizards are playing well, they’ll disappoint.
This is a perfect spot for that to happen. Denver is short-handed and will be weary after the game in Boston. Washington will be resting at home and that will bring the number down.
Use that smaller number to your advantage and back the Nuggets, who have the superior stars to handle Washington without any problem, regardless of who fills out the rest of the startling lineup or is available off the bench.
