Sunday, December 4th, the Denver Nuggets and New Orleans Pelicans meet for the first of four scheduled matches this season. New Orleans will host again on January 24th while Denver will host matches on January 31st and March 30th.
Both teams last played Friday with the Nuggets losing 109-117 to the Hawks while the Pelicans easily dispatched the Spurs 117-99.
The Nuggets hold the all-time record having bested the Pelicans in 39 of their 68 meetings. Last season the squads played four times with Denver winning three of the four contests.

New Orleans Pelicans
While I still think the Nuggets will be the team who ends up sitting atop the West it’s impossible to ignore how deep this Pelicans squad is and how well they’re performing in spite of dealing with injury adversity.
Whether CJ McCollum, Brandon Ingram or Zion Williamson has been out it simply hasn’t mattered as the Pels just keep rolling regardless of who plays.
Part of the reason is any one of that trio can lead the team in scoring and playmaking if they’re solo. The key will be finding out how they mesh when all three are on the court.
Offensively, the Pelicans rank fifth for scoring averaging 116.7 points per game while shooting 48.4% from the field and 37.6% from the perimeter ranking fifth in both categories.
Defensively, the Pelicans allow opponents to score 111.2 points per game, ranking 11th. New Orleans holds their opponents to 46.3% from the field ranking 12th and boasts the third-best perimeter ranking of 33.2%.
Herbert Jones (ankle) Brandon Ingram (toe) and E.J. Liddell (knee) are all out Sunday.
