With their young star rookie back the Cavs are back on a roll and have won five of their last seven games. They got a bit of a break facing the shorthanded Bulls who didn’t have the manpower to deal with the Cavs size and athleticism.

Jarrett Allen served up a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds while his Cleveland Tower counterpart rookie Evan Mobley scored 16 points with nine rebounds, an assist, two steals plus an impressive five blocks.
Darius Garland led the scoring for the Cavaliers with 24 points along with six assists. Veterans Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio both scored 11 points off the bench. .
Dean Wade returned from missing six games due to a calf strain and picked up right where he left off, scoring nine points by hitting three of his four 3-pointers.
Minnesota Timberwolves
The teeter-totter season of the Wolves continues as they followed up a stretch where they won seven of eight matches to their current four-game losing streak.
Part of the reason behind the losses is the competition they are facing as the four opponents they lost to were the Wizards, Nets, Hawks, and Jazz.
Although they had one of the best perimeter defenses now that they’re facing better shooting teams they are feeling the effects of leaving shooters open to protect the paint.
That message got delivered loud and clear in the last two contests with the Hawks drilling 25 of 49 deep balls while the Jazz followed suit hitting 25 of 45 from the perimeter.
Injuries have also factored as Karl-Anthony Towns was on the court for this week but still feeling the effects of a sore tailbone from a hard fall he took recently
Against the Hawks, he delivered a double-double of 31 points and 11 rebounds and versus the Jazz, he registered 22 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. While KAT is back D’Angelo Russell is out now.
Anthony Edwards offered 18 points with two rebounds, five assists, and a steal while Malik Beasley chipped in 14 points in a reserve role.
Patrick Beverley was back from missing six games due to an adductor strain and made an immediate impact scoring 16 points.
Russell (ankle) is questionable.

Free Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves NBA Prediction:
Although the Wolves won’t face the same barrage of 3-point shooting they have to be careful of the Cavs who move the ball and take smart shots when they are open and have the personnel who can get hot from deep.
They’ll also have to deal with the pure size of Cleveland and it won’t be as easy defending the paint due to the combination of their size and athleticism.
Cleveland covers the spread at an impressive clip on the road (10-2-1) while the Wolves are 6-9 ATS at home.
