The Cleveland Cavaliers are coming off of back to back double digit losses and they will look to put those poor efforts in the rear view mirror this Monday, as they take on the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit Michigan.
Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers last game was a rough 10 point loss to a struggling Chicago Bulls team who simply out shot the Cavs to get the job done. Darius Garland once again looked solid in that game despite his team not picking up the W, as he finished that game with 22 points and 12 assists with great efficiency numbers, as he continues to get me excited about what is in store next year for both garland and the Cavs.
The one main thing the Cavs will need to do much better next year is scoring, as they have only scored 103.8 points per game which ranks them at 30th in the league, but with their young back court maturing quickly I certainly can see them improving upon that number next year.
Detroit Pistons
The Pistons have only won one of their last 5 games and are now coming off of a 21 point loss to the Wizards, so they will be hungry to get back in the win column here against the equally struggling Cavs.
The Detroit Pistons wing defense was pretty bad last time out against the Wizards, allowing Washington to shoot over 56% from downtown which essentially allowed Bradley Beal to take over the game and drop 37 points on them.
The Detroit Pistons are mainly playing back ups now though, and giving the bench players plenty of minutes and although they have been able to show up at times, it is interesting to see them as favorites here at -120 on home court even considering the fact they are up against the Cavs.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been really disappointing in recent times, even against teams I feel like they should have competed with, so it is a bit tough to trust them but I am going to give them another chance to cash as a small road underdog here.
The Cavaliers should be able to dominate the interior with Allen and Kevin Love, and I am a big fan of both Sexton and Garland, so their should be enough scoring there to get the job done here.
I am entirely unimpressed with the lineup that the Pistons have been rolling out there as well, with the only guy you can count on being Jerami Grant and I think he could have a quite game given the guys the Cavs have on the inside.
