Something has to give when a bad road team meets a bad home team. The Cavs have gone 5-15 away from Cleveland this year, which is understandable. How are the Bulls just 9-15 at the United Center though.
Both teams are coming off losses while playing on 0 days rest – and it showed. The Cavs lost by 14 at home to Sacramento and Chicago fell by 25 at home to the Jazz. Kind of an even matchup for the Bulls to be giving 6 points.
Cleveland Cavaliers
They’ve been faint and rare, but there have been some bright spots for the Cavs lately. Cleveland was able to tally a 116-105 win over a very bad Toronto team on Saturday, led by 36 points from Collin Sexton.
A couple games before that, the Cavs stunned Boston 117-110 when both teams were playing on 0 days rest. Sexton once again paced Cleveland with 29 points.
For as great as Sexton has been lately, it’s Jarrett Allen’s time to shine against a porous Chicago frontcourt. The Bulls have allowed double digit rebounds to the last five C’s they’ve faced, and three of them had 15+.
Allen struggled coming out of the all-star break, being held to single digits in four straight games. He’s showing signs of life lately though, with a 15+ point double-double in two of the last three.
Chicago Bulls
Is Wednesday night’s game going to turn into a Sexton vs. Zach LaVine glorified game of horse. Sexton is dominating on the offensive end, and LaVine was the only scoring threat Chicago had vs. Utah.
LaVine pumped in 27 vs. the Jazz, but Chicago’s offense as a whole has been a bit stagnant over the last week. Last Wednesday the Bulls were outscored 39-19 in the 4th quarter in a 106-99 loss to the Spurs.
Chicago also had their share of struggles scoring on Sunday in a 100-83 win over Detroit. The 25-point loss can be excused, as the Bulls were playing a good Jazz team while also on 0 days rest.
Wendell Carter, Jr. is on the injury report for Chicago on Wednesday, making them even thinner in the frontcourt against Allen. The Cavs center is going to have a big night, can anybody on the Bulls be the equalizer?

Free Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Chicago Bulls NBA Prediction:
It seems like the Cavs have an inside-out combo in Sexton and Allen that the Bulls just cannot match. Cleveland can also bring 7-footer JaVale McGee (18 points on Monday) and Chicago cannot counter.
The Bulls backcourt can get hot on any given night, and Cleveland is 23rd in defensive efficiency. This game looks like it’s going to be decided on the interior though.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Cavs +6
The Bulls being horrible at home doesn’t hurt here either.
