Friday, December 2nd, finds the Chicago Bulls playing the Golden State Warriors for the first of two scheduled meetings this season. Chicago will host the final meeting on January 15th.
The Bulls last played Wednesday losing 113-132 to the Suns while the Warriors last played Tuesday in a great playoff-like match versus the Mavericks losing 113-116 in clutch time.
Last season, the teams played twice with the Warriors taking both contests and holding a 10-game winning streak over the Bulls dating back to November 24th, 2017. The Bulls hold the all-time record having bested the Warriors in 84 of their 162 matches
Chicago Bulls
This is the fifth stop of the six-game road trip who are even through four matches defeating the Bucks and Jazz, losing in overtime to the Thunder, and this most recent rout to the Suns.
DeMar DeRozan led the way versus Phoenix with a great line of 29 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and a steal which would’ve been even sweeter had it not been for the Suns’ Devin Booker scoring 51 points in three quarters!
They’ll make one more stop in Sacramento before heading home to Chicago.
Chicago scores 112.0 points per game ranking 17th while they shoot 47.1% from the field and 35.4% from the perimeter ranking 14th and 15th respectively.
Defensively, they allow 112,7 points per game ranking 13th. Their opponents shoot 47.7% from the field and 37.9% from the perimeter ranking 22nd and 296th respectively.
Lonzo Ball (knee) remains out indefinitely.
Golden State Warriors
The Dubs have unleashed their perimeter prowess and it’s paying dividends. The game in Dallas was playoff-level all except for the copious travel calls including one on the final play of the game by Curry.
In fairness, he DID travel — but what’s maddening is some officiating crews don’t even call the egregious travels (remember the Tyler Herro travel on the game-winning play against the Kings?).
Still, if the officials make this a sticking point and become more diligent about ALL the crews calling it – – I’m not hating it because a majority of travels occur based on a defender speeding up the offensive player. And since I’m sick and tired of the ref-baiting this feels like a nice counterbalance.
While Steve Kerr’s priority was to get the trio of Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, and James Wiseman to take on a bigger role the young player who has impressed most is Anthony Lamb.
The Dubs moved up to third overall for scoring averaging 117.5 points per game. They shoot 48.2% from the field and 37.6% from deep, ranking sixth in both.
Warriors opponents score 117.2 points per game (27th), shooting 46.0% from the field (9th) and 35.1% from deep (16th).
Andre Iguodala (hip) is out indefinitely.
NBA Betting Trends:

Free Chicago Bulls vs. Golden State Warriors NBA Prediction:
The Warriors are much better at the Chase Center and when Kerr acquiesces to using the core starting group over the youngsters they are beyond impressive.
DeRozan has captained the Bulls with a perfect mixture of calm and aggression, but while they felt like a team on the rise last season — this year the parts don’t seem to be enough to compete with the upper echelon (even once Lonzo Ball returns). Keep an eye on the calendar with December 15th nearing — and the inevitable trade market heating up.
